Mariana Garcia is a videographer, photographer, and storyteller from Sacramento, California. She is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley where she majored in political science, and minored in Spanish and journalism. She currently reports for The Sacramento Bee as a visuals intern.

Mariana was a video journalist for CalTV on UC Berkeley’s campus, where she pitched, filmed, and edited stories ranging from campus news, to global politics, music, and entertainment. Her story, “The Three Thousand Mile Journey” was recognized by UC Berkeley’s Future Histories Lab with the Undergraduate Prize in Immigration.

Last summer, Mariana interned with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a video production intern for LA Dodgers Productions. In this role, she interviewed Dodger players, alumni, staff, and LA community members to tell visual stories of the historic organization and its members, both on and off the field.

Mariana also has experience working with clients at Nike, Calm, and Hallmark as a professional voice actor.
